An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
